Welcome to SlickTimeline ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using SlickTimeline (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Use of the Service
SlickTimeline is a web-based timeline builder that allows users to create, preview, and export timelines.
You may use the Service for:
- Personal use
- Internal business use
- Commercial use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws.
2. No Warranty / Use at Your Own Risk
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, or error-free operation.
You use the Service at your own risk.
We do not guarantee:
- uninterrupted or error-free service
- compatibility with every browser, device, or third-party application
- that exported output will always meet your business, legal, or presentation requirements
- preservation of your work if you leave the page without copying your project code
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlickTimeline and its owner(s), operator(s), affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, business interruption, lost profits, or reputational harm arising out of or related to the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount paid by you to us for the Service in the prior 12 months (or, if no payment was made, USD $0).
4. User Responsibility
You are responsible for the content you create using the Service and for reviewing any exported timelines before use or distribution.
- Verify all dates, labels, and outputs before relying on them
- Back up your work (for example, by copying your Project Code)
- Ensure your use of exported materials complies with your own legal and contractual obligations
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse or interfere with the Service, including by attempting unauthorized access, overloading the Service, or using the Service for unlawful or harmful purposes.
6. Intellectual Property
SlickTimeline, including its software, branding, and interface design, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of the timeline content you create using the Service.
7. Service Changes / Availability
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or limit any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and without liability.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time, with or without notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may include links to third-party services (for example, social sharing platforms). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
